Hi, I’m Amy Scheuring, the Executive Director of WCN. I’ve served here over 10 years and thank God for giving me the greatest job on earth! We have a fantastic staff with a passion to reach the lost for Christ. My husband Tom and I have 2 wonderful grown children. We love to hike, bike and listen to music…and yes, we are bird nerds.
Hi there, I’m Linda Frank, Partner Services Director for WCN. I love my job because I get to travel around and visit with the churches that support this ministry. My husband Chris and I moved here over 30 years ago and consider Western PA our home. That means we are local sport fans along with our 3 grown children. I also teach art to homeschool families, and residents in a retirement community. Oh, and I try to get a little art work done during any down time.
Hi, I’m Gloria, the director of our North Side center. I also have the privilege of being a nurse sonographer at Monroeville and North Side, and I love the opportunity of sharing God’s truths with clients in the ultrasound room. I started volunteering in 2007, and have been on staff since 2009. My wonderful husband Marty and I have 2 sons– one in college and one in high school. I enjoy most sports, music, reading, and just being outdoors. I especially love snowy winters.
Hello, I’m Elena Shlyahovsky, and I’m the Partner Services Associate here at WCN. I was born in Ukraine, but have pretty much lived here all of my life with my family in Pittsburgh. I am happy to be serving at WCN, a calling that I’ve taken up in 2011. I like singing, working out, and have recently realized I have a green thumb! I am a casual sports watcher, and always root for Pittsburgh by default.
Hello, my name is Fiona Sowers and I have been the Bookkeeper for WCN for almost 6 months now. I really love my job here and am truly thankful to be working with women who are truly seeking God’s will and helping so many women. My husband (Dan) and I have 3 children: Kelsey–24, Scott–22 and Luke–20. I enjoy walking and exercising, reading, sewing and most especially long drives with Dan to just explore new places.
Hi, my name is Jodi Longo. I am so excited to be the Director of the Monroeville WCN Center and a Nurse Sonographer. It’s such a privilege to tell others about the love of Jesus and let him use me to empower women to choose life. I started volunteering in 2008, took some time off then came back to volunteering about 2 years ago. I have five beautiful children, ages 25, 23, 18, 15 and 11. I also have three darling grand-daughters. Besides spending time with my husband Frank and my children , I love to read, crochet, take long walks with my dogs and drink coffee!
Well hello! My name is Amanda Tallon. Starting as an intern back in 2012, I am now the Director of our Northside Center. I love having the opportunity to shower our clients with the love of Jesus, while empowering them with knowledge and guidance about the life growing inside of them. My husband and I love creating all things musical together! We have also traveled around the country attending Bible School and visiting different ministries for the first 4 years of our marriage. We are now firmly planted in the Pittsburgh area and look forward to all the great things the Lord has in store for the future!
Hello, my name is Jessica Patterson, the Coordinator for Broken Vessels, WCN’s post-abortive healing and recovery group. I am incredibly blessed to witness first-hand God’s grace and forgiveness as He softens hearts and transform lives. My husband Bernie and I are both native to Pittsburgh and we live in the N. Hills with our 2 children, Ryan (8) & Lucy (6). We love spending time together whether it be at our camp in Pymatuning, hanging out in the backyard or going out for Mexican food. As my son so eloquently puts it, “We are just a family who loves God and believes.”
Hi, I’m Kendall Lewis, Client Advocate and Church Initiative concierge. I graduated from Moody Bible Institute in May then moved to Pittsburgh and began interning with WCN in June, 2016. It has been an honor to work alongside such a talented and dedicated team for the past 5 months. I am originally from Northern California, where I love exploring the mountains, ocean, and forrests. But I have really enjoyed learning/exploring Pittsburgh over the last year. Any chance I get, I love spending time outdoors – snowboarding, surfing, climbing, slaclining, and lacrosse.
Hi! My name is Rebecca Heins, I’m a staff nurse at the Oakland, Northside and Monroeville centers. I love building relationships with our clients and helping them see God’s love for them. Originally a transplant from State College, PA (where I grew up and attended Penn State University) I moved to Pittsburgh after college to work as a postpartum/labor & delivery nurse prior to joining the WCN staff team in 2016. My husband, Jonathan, and I love doing life together here in Pittsburgh! In my spare time I enjoy bluegrass fiddle, Jurassic Park, campfires, and fudge brownies.
