April 2018 Letter

Life choices need life support. Since opening our doors in 1985, we’ve been committed to empowering the choice for life and supporting that choice in practical ways. Early in our history, every center had a “baby boutique” stocked with needed items. We also added “learn and earn” programs for moms and dads to earn “baby bucks” to purchase everything from diapers to cribs. For most of our history, these programs were tailored to those who were preparing for parenthood. Today’s program, Life Support, offers three separate tracks, giving all of our clients an opportunity to learn and grow. Track 3 is called Healthy Relationships and has been completed by STD clients and those with a negative pregnancy test.

We’ve found that these ongoing support programs give our clients opportunities to explore their choices about life and sexuality in a safe nurturing setting. The Tracks are intentional about reaching the whole person; physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. Each session includes a devotional component and introduces our clients to God’s love through Jesus Christ. The results are life transforming! Nadine, a recent client who completed Tracks 1, 2 and 3 is now being cared for by a Making Life Disciples group from a local church. Their small group is helping her arrange a baptism for her newborn, delivering meals, and providing babysitting when needed. Best of all, they are welcoming her into a family of faith where her growing family can be cared for.

Your generous partnership makes Life Support possible. Thank you so much!

Thank you for helping us bring Pittsburgh to Life!
God bless,
